Ghoulish Votive Holders

You will need:

A sheet of black cardstock or construction paper, torn into rectangles
A hole puncher
Glass votive holders
Mod Podge, we used the kind with a matte finish, or some other decoupage medium
Paintbrushes or sponges
A plate to hold the decoupage medium
Paint pens in choice color

1. Begin by tearing your black paper into rectangles and then punching holes in some of the rectangles for “eyes”. We decided it would be best to put some of our eyes close together and some further apart, just for fun. How you do yours is totally your call.

2. Brush your votive holder with decoupage medium and then begin layering your paper rectangles onto it.

3. Once you have the whole thing covered with paper, go over it all with a coat of decoupage.

4. Let it dry overnight. The next day, use black, orange, red, yellow, or any other color paint you prefer to put pupils into your “eyes”. Insert tealight candle, light, and enjoy.

**We got this idea to make Candleyebras from Family Fun’s website. Check out their site for even more Halloween fun.
